For a little video game that was on the brink of being scrapped and never to be seen again, there has been a massive resurgence in the amount of popularity that the franchise and in particular one section of it has experienced. There has been a massive increase in the amount of Video game madden tournaments popping up all over the country these days. These tournaments are gaining in popularity on a yearly basis.
There is little doubt that these tournaments are designed to determine the best of the best and separate the rookies from those that eat, drink and sleep this game. These are the people that have their copy the second that it is able to be purchased and will spend days in a row trying to become the best of the best with the game. After they have mastered this, then they head to a local tournament and place their skills against others that have probably done the same as they did. This becomes interesting as many times you will see two different types of game plans in use at these tournaments. If you think that this is just a bunch of people sitting around with an excuse to play video games, think again. These are often times sponsored by national companies and held at popular sports bars all across the country. The people that enter these are not amateurs and have been training for months in order to have a shot at being great.
There is little doubt that these tournaments are held to see who can out run or out pass their opponents. While the game has evolved quite a bit in the few years the passion for people playing has not died and has increased by a lot in the past few years. Still doubt that these tournaments are big, then take one look around at the amount of exposure that these tournaments tend to get from the media and the rest of the world. When a major sports network films segments that they use for specials, then you know that you are in the big leagues.
When it is all said and done, there can only be one true winner, the player that is able to out move and outwit their opponents will be rewarded with the game console and if it is a national event a trip to the next round of playoffs. This is where things become tougher and the stakes are higher. This if you are lucky will lead to a trip to the nationals, and possibly to the world finals. All of this as a result will lead a person if they are success ful to having success in these tournaments and making it to being the world champ. This is not a bad way to gain popularity when playing Video game madden tournaments.
